About Us

Rooted in Scripture. Committed to community. Compelled by grace.

“A group of Christians who meet together as we believe the earliest Christians did in Biblical times, with no ordained clergy, appointed elders or church hierarchy.”

We are a local fellowship centered on Jesus Christ, with no denominational affiliation. Scripture alone is our guide. Like the earliest believers, we seek to gather as they did: “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved” (Acts 2:46–47).

Our Essential Beliefs

These are the core convictions that unite us and shape everything we do.

The Trinity

We believe in one God eternally existing as three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), equal in nature, glory, and purpose.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God, born of a virgin, who died for our sins, rose bodily after three days, ascended to Heaven, and will return for His people.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal to the Father and Son, who indwells every believer and provides spiritual power and guidance for daily life.

Scripture

We believe the Bible is God’s Word, the supreme source of truth without error, and the final authority for faith and practice in all things.

Humanity

We believe all people are created in God’s image and deeply loved by Him, yet separated from Him through sin and in need of a Savior.

Salvation

We believe salvation is God’s free gift, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone and not earned by works or merit of any kind.

Eternal Security

We believe that all true believers are kept secure in their salvation by God’s grace. Nothing can separate them from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

Baptism

We practice baptism by full immersion as an outward symbol of the believer’s death to sin and new life through Christ.

Communion

We observe the Lord’s Supper weekly as a sacred time of remembrance, proclaiming Christ’s sacrifice until He comes again.

Our Story

The fellowship we are part of traces its roots to a rediscovery of Biblical church principles that took place between 1825 and 1850. During that period, believers across several countries began studying the New Testament afresh and were struck by how far institutional Christianity had drifted from the pattern of the early church.

These men and women set aside denominational labels and human traditions and began meeting simply in the name of Jesus Christ, with no ordained clergy, no appointed hierarchy, and no creed but Scripture. Their conviction was that Christ alone is the Head of the church, and that His people should gather as the early church did.

That same conviction is what gathers us today. Grace and Truth Chapel is part of that continuing fellowship: a community of ordinary people who love an extraordinary Savior, committed to one another and to the Word He has given us.
